Childrens Ministry
At Bracken, we realize that children experience life in a variety of ways. Through these experiences, they build
relationships with God, their family, and other people. We offer a wide range of ministry opportunities
throughout the year for children of all ages and their families that allow for and encourage the personal and
spiritual growth of each unique child. We invite you to come and join us in our current ministries as we all seek
to know the One who invites us all to “be like children”!

Our KidZone childcare is offered every Sunday morning for the 8am & 11am Worship Services. Our childcare
staff provides a loving, caring, encouraging environment designed to make each child feel special.
Sunday School, Sunday Mornings from 9:45-10:45am
Early Christian Awareness (ECA)—introduction to God’s love and the Bible through sensory exploration in order
to enhance the spiritual development of children ages 6 months-24 months. Classes held in the Education Bldg.,
Rm. 6.
Little Lambs—introduction to the stories of the Bible through music, play, and story telling in order to enhance
the spiritual development of children ages 2-3years. Class held in the Connection Center, Rm 5.
Preschool Class—introduction to our faith stories through music, art, play and creative story telling, even snack
some days. Children ages 3-5 years begin to connect the people of the Bible and their story’s lesson to their
lives. Class held in the Connection Center, Rm 4.
Elementary Classes—exploration and application of our faith stories through various learning styles such as
drama, games, art, music, and discussion. We are back to our school year age groups, and they are as follows:
Kindergarteners & 1st Graders meet in the Connection Center, Rm 3.
2nd—3rd Graders meet in the Connection Center, Rm 1.
4th-5th Graders meet in the Connection Center, Rm 2.
Jr. and Sr. High Youth meet in the Wahl house.
Children's Time & Children's Church - during 11:00a.m. Traditional Worship and our Faith Vision service, children
come to the front for a lesson with Pastor Mickey or the worship leader & then 3-year-olds thru Kinder leave
for a message geared just for them. They will begin meeting in room 5 of the Education Building on September
27, 2009. On communion Sunday’s, children are brought back to their respective service, so they too can
participate.

Our Children’s Choir is for all children grades
Kindergarten~5th who love to sing unto the Lord.
In the fall we sing together and prepare for our
annual children's pageant. In the spring we switch
to hand bells. Twice a year the children have the
opportunity to lead the music portion of worship.
We meet September—May, beginning at 5:00pm.
Tiny Tots Choir is open to all children ages 3-5 years old
(not yet in school). We sing together every Wednesday,
September-May from 6:30pm-7:00pm.

W.O.W.—Wild on Wednesdays for Jesus— meets on Wednesdays (September-May) beginning September 7, 2011,
from 6:00pm - 7:30pm and begins with a Snack Supper. All children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to
attend this mid-week ministry full of Bible stories, games, drama, crafts, music, food & fellowship.
Kids’ Night In, is an opportunity for children ages 6 months - 5th grade to enjoy a fun evening together on the 3rd Friday of
each month from 6:00pm - 9:30p.m. It is also an opportunity for parents to renew their connection as a couple allowing them to
provide a strong and stable foundation for their family as a whole.c
