Bracken Bells - Bell Choir

*Disciple Bible Study
32- and 34-week studies of the Bible facilitated by lay persons and Pastor Jerry. This structured study is to
increase biblical knowledge, develop comfort in understanding the scriptures and grow spiritually. New studies
begin in January and September.
Drama Team (Acts of Praise)
Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with
your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals
and experience true financial peace! A 13-week process facilitated at Bracken UMC. Continue to check back for
more information regarding the next class.
Financial Peace University runs for 13 weeks. We will meet once a week for 2 hours. Each session will feature
an entertaining and informative DVD with Dave Ramsey’s easy to follow instruction. An approximately 1 hour
question and answer session plus lively discussion will follow. Subject material includes debt elimination,
saving, budgeting, investments, life insurance, mortgages, and much more. Dave’s principles are bible-based,
and time tested. Cost for each family unit is $100, and covers cost of materials. Please call the church office for
more information.
*Gals Gathering for God
Women in their 20's, 30's, and 40's gather to play together the second Thursday of each month. They meet at
various restaurants, activity places, and movie theaters for a time of getting to know one another, sharing life,
and supporting one another.

Primetimers
Senior Adult’s gather for games, conversation, and food provided by covered dish. The first Thursday of each
month. 1st and 3rd quarters they meet at Triumphant Lutheran Church, Bat Cave Road, 2nd and 4th quarters
they meet at Bracken United Methodist Church (fellowship hall); 10:30am – 1:00pm.
Pumpkin Patch
United Methodist Men
Men of the church meet on the second Tuesday of each month for dinner, prayer, study, and conversation.
(6:30pm in the fellowship hall unless otherwise announced)
United Methodist Women
Women of the church meet the first Monday of each month for mission study, conversation, and support.
(7:00pm fellowship hall)
Shawl Ministry
A ministry of healing through Bracken UMC. A group of ministry servants knits shawls and prays over them as a
small cross is attached. The shawls are given to anyone who is in need of healing, physical, emotional, spiritual,
within the congregation or without. Contact Sharon in the office or Nurse Mary if you have a person in need of
this ministry.
Adult Music Opportunities include the Men's Gospel Ensemble at 6:15pm and at 7pm, Joyful Noise adult choir.
